Brooke Ingram of Coxsackie Honored for Academic Excellence at Hudson Valley Community College

Brooke Ingram of Coxsackie was recently honored for excellence by an academic department at Hudson Valley Community College.

Each year, high-achieving students from each of the more than 70 academic programs at the Troy, NY college are chosen for special recognition.

Ingram was given the following honor/s:

The Award for Excellence in Student Teaching, which is given to a graduating Early Childhood student who has shown excellence in the student teaching portion of their studies.

Students are selected for honors by faculty and departmental administrative staff.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 75 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and workforce and academic preparation programs offered through the Educational Opportunity Center. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of nearly 13,000 students, and it is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and worker retraining. Hudson Valley has more than 75,000 alumni.
