Bryan Vandenburgh of Valatie Named Vice President for Membership of Alpha Xi Sigma chapter of Phi Theta Kappa

Bryan Vandenburgh of Valatie was recently elected Vice President for Membership for the Alpha Xi Sigma chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Hudson Valley Community College.

The Alpha Xi Sigma chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international academic honor society for two-year colleges, recognizes and promotes scholarship, develops leadership, encourages service and cultivates fellowship among qualified students of the college.

Vandenburgh is studying in the Business Administration academic program.

The college offers 16 intercollegiate athletic programs and approximately 50 chartered clubs and organizations.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers 75 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 13,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has more than 75,000 alumni.
