Cecil Boamah-Mensah of Albany Named To Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities

Cecil Boamah-Mensah of Albany was recently honored by acceptance in Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.

Cecil was chosen by a campus nominating committee for this honor based upon academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and continued potential for success.

Cecil is studying in the Business - Business Administration academic program at the Troy, NY college.

Cecil is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the academic honor society, as well as the Armed Forces Club. He has also volunteered in his community, helping out at the summer youth program and soup kitchen at Grace and Holy Innocents Church in Albany as well as at Trinity Institution.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 associate degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and workforce and academic preparation programs offered through the Educational Opportunity Center. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of nearly 13,250 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and worker retraining. Hudson Valley has 75,000 alumni.
