Colleen Trendell of Schoharie Named To Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities

Colleen Trendell of Schoharie was recently honored by acceptance in Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.

Colleen was chosen by a campus nominating committee for this honor based upon academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and continued potential for success.

Colleen is studying in the Dental Hygiene academic program at the Troy, NY college.

Colleen is very active in the professional development activities associated with her academic department and represented the college at a student competition sponsored by the Third District Dental Society. She has also been involved in several organizations related to flood relief in Schoharie County.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 associate degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and workforce and academic preparation programs offered through the Educational Opportunity Center. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of nearly 13,250 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and worker retraining. Hudson Valley has 75,000 alumni.
