Danielle Sloan of Schenectady Named To Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities

Danielle Sloan of Schenectady was recently honored by acceptance in Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.

Danielle was chosen by a campus nominating committee for this honor based upon academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and continued potential for success. Danielle was honored for her numerous volunteer efforts in her community and on behalf of the college's HonorScholar program, in which she is a participant. She also is a two-year member of the women's soccer team.

Danielle is studying in the Liberal Arts and Science: Humanities and Social Science academic program at the Troy, NY college.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 80 associate degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and workforce and academic preparation programs offered through the Educational Opportunity Center. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of nearly 11,500 students and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and worker retraining. Hudson Valley has 75,000 alumni.
