Emily Black of Troy Named To Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities

Emily Black of Troy was recently honored by acceptance in Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.

Emily was chosen by a campus nominating committee for this honor based upon academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and continued potential for success. Emily was honored for her leadership among her fellow dental hygiene students and her community service on behalf of the program.

Emily is studying in the Dental Hygiene academic program at the Troy, NY college.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 80 associate degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and workforce and academic preparation programs offered through the Educational Opportunity Center. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of nearly 11,500 students and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and worker retraining. Hudson Valley has 75,000 alumni.
