Erika Pelletier of Petersburgh Completes Student Leadership Training at National Conference Headline

Erika Pelletier of Petersburgh attended the National Conference on Student Leadership in Lake Buena Vista, Florida recently.

Pelletier, who is studying in the Early Childhood academic program at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY, was chosen as one of eight student representatives from the college. While at the four-day conference, Pelletier completed the student leadership training and was involved in many other development, leadership and networking activities. The conference also offers specific workshops that help student leaders leverage their roles as they transition from campus to a professional career.

Each year, Hudson Valley Community College sends a number of high-achieving student delegates to this national conference.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 75 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
