Heidi Pikcilingis of Schenectady Named To Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities

Heidi Pikcilingis of Schenectady was recently honored by acceptance in Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.

Heidi was chosen by a campus nominating committee for this honor based upon academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and continued potential for success.

Heidi is studying in the Dental Hygiene academic program at the Troy, NY college.

Heidi is very active in professional service activities related to her academic program. She volunteered to work at Childrens Dental Health Day in 2013, where the college's Dental Hygiene Department hosted 100 Girl Scouts to learn about good oral health. She also serves as treasurer for the college's student chapter of the American Dental Hygienists Association.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 associate degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and workforce and academic preparation programs offered through the Educational Opportunity Center.
