Jackson Lyons of Saratoga Springs Named To Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities

Jackson Lyons of Saratoga Springs was recently honored by acceptance in Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.

Jackson was chosen by a campus nominating committee for this honor based upon academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and continued potential for success.

Jackson is studying in the Engineering Science academic program at the Troy, NY college.

Jackson is an active member of the college's Engineering Science Club and has worked on several outreach projects, helping raise interest in the engineering field among high school students. He also is active in ROTC and the Sons of Erin Bagpipe Band.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 associate degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and workforce and academic preparation programs offered through the Educational Opportunity Center. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of nearly 13,250 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and worker retraining. Hudson Valley has 75,000 alumni.
