Joseph Dugan of Castleton is active with the Criminal Justice Club at Hudson Valley Community College.

The student, who is studying in the Criminal Justice academic program, has been appointed a Vice President in the organization.

The Criminal Justice Club is an active community of learners, as well as future criminal justice scholars and practitioners, who are impassioned about the issues and challenges unique to the criminal justice system. Guests speakers, field trips and a variety of activities and community service initiatives round out club events and provide a dynamic forum within which students may share their enthusiasm for criminal justice.

Hudson Valley Community College has more than 50 chartered student clubs and organizations.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has more than 75,000 alumni.
