Painting by Schenectady Resident Echo Goff is SUNY Student Best of Show Finalist

A painting by Hudson Valley Community College Fine Arts student Echo Goff was recently selected as a Best of Show Finalist for the the SUNY Art Exhibition Student Series 2016-2017. Goff is a Schenectady resident and has been named to the college's President's List for three consecutive semesters.

The exhibition features works from all levels of study at SUNY campuses state-wide. Awards for the exhibition will be announced at a reception for the exhibition at SUNY headquarters in Albany on Monday, June 9 beginning at 4:30 p.m. The traditional areas of drawing, ceramics, painting, printmaking, mixed media, photography, sculpture and digitally-produced works are included.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers 85 associate degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of nearly 11,500 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has more than 80,000 alumni.
