Sean Kibbey of Selkirk is active with the Human Services Club at Hudson Valley Community College.

The student, who is studying in the Chemical Dependency Counseling academic program, has been appointed a President in the organization.

The Human Services Club provides students with a better understanding of who they are as human service workers. The club fosters communication among faculty, students and other members of the college. Activities include: workshops, field trips and student conferences as well as community service projects that improve the quality of life for individuals within the community.

Hudson Valley Community College has more than 50 chartered student clubs and organizations.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training.
