Shauna Anderson of Greenville Named To Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities

Shauna Anderson of Greenville was recently honored by acceptance in Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.

Shauna was chosen by a campus nominating committee for this honor based upon academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and continued potential for success.

Shauna is studying in the Liberal Arts & Science: Humanities & Social Science academic program at the Troy, NY college.

Shauna is very active on campus and in her community. A member of Phi Theta Kappa, the academic honor society, she also has been involved in the Foreign Language and Culture Club and has had several short stories published in the college's literary magazine, Threads. Shauna has also volunteered at the Sprouts Program for the Greene County Council on Arts and at Five Rivers Environmental Education Center.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 associate degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and workforce and academic preparation programs offered through the Educational Opportunity Center. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of nearly 13,250 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and worker retraining. Hudson Valley has 75,000 alumni.
