Tashona Jamison of Troy Receives Second Chance Scholarship at Hudson Valley Community College

Tashona Jamison of Troy was recently honored with the Second Chance Scholarship at Hudson Valley Community College.

Jamison is studying in the Individual Studies program at the college.

The Foundation's annual scholarship reception, which was held, Friday, Nov. 14, recognizes students who were awarded scholarships this past year as well as the donors who make these scholarships possible. More than 90 students received scholarships during the academic year.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers 75 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has more than 75,000 alumni.
