Currently the second-largest institution of higher learning in the Capital Region of New York State, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs through its three schools: Business and Liberal Arts; Health Sciences; and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

Local Residents Represent Hudson Valley Community College in Dental Hygiene Competition

Four seniors from the Hudson Valley Community College Dental Hygiene department represented the college at the Empire Conference for the Dental Hygienists' Association of State of New York, held on Long Island, Nov. 1-3.

Local Hudson Valley Community College Students In Engineering Competition

Students of Hudson Valley Community College's Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Technology and Architectural Technology programs participated in the Regional Student Steel Bridge and Concrete Canoe Competition in Potsdam in April. Sponsored by the American Society of Civil Engineers which has student chapters at each college, the conference was hosted by Clarkson University and SUNY Canton. The following local students designed and constructed a 20-foot long concrete canoe and a model steel bridge capable of supporting 2500 pounds in competition against RPI, RIT, Clarkson, SUNY Canton, SUNY Buffalo, SUNY IT, West Point, Cornell and ETS from Montreal:
