Eight students from Hudson Valley Community College recently completed a course in student leadership while attending the National Conference on Student Leadership in Lake Buena Vista, Florida

The State University of New York at Potsdam has awarded scholarships, grants and awards to 998 students for the 2014-15 academic year. These accomplished SUNY Potsdam undergraduate and graduate students were recognized for their achievements with support for their educational experience.

Clarkson University CUPO (Community of Underrepresented Professional Opportunities) students recently received awards at the 22nd annual statewide Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) Student Conference: Journeys Beyond Excellence.

More than 2,200 new matriculated students began their studies at Hudson Valley Community College during the Fall 2014 term. Students are studying in more than 70 degree and certificate programs offered by the college.

Approximately 560 new transfer students will continue their studies at SUNY Oneonta this fall. Classes started Monday, Aug. 25. The SUNY Oneonta fall 2014 transfer class has an average cumulative grade-point average of 3.2.

74 SUNY Oneonta student athletes were named to the State University of New York Athletic Conference All-Academic Team for the spring 2014 semester. To be eligible, a student must be a varsity athlete who has completed the entire season and earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.3 for the semester in which they competed. Hudson Valley Community College held its 60th annual Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 17 at the college's Joseph L. Bruno Stadium in Troy, NY. A total of 2,240 students earn associate degrees and certificates. Of them, 470 graduate with academic honors.

More than 1200 students at Hudson Valley Community College were recently named to the college's Deans' List. Students named to the Dean's List have have a term grade point average between 3.0 to 3.49.

More than 20 Hudson Valley Community College students were recently nominated to Tau Alpha Pi, the national academic honor society for students studying engineering technology.
